Your Connemara & Galway Bay Day Tour by Train begins with a morning rail journey from Dublin Heuston Station. You’ll travel comfortably through Ireland’s countryside with reserved seating onboard. This relaxed start sets the tone for the day.
On arrival in Galway, the tour continues by coach into the Connemara region. The area is known for wide open spaces and dramatic scenery. As the journey unfolds, your guide provides background on the landscape and local culture.
A highlight of the tour is a visit to Kylemore Abbey and Gardens. This historic estate sits within a mountain setting and offers time to explore independently. Visitors can walk the grounds or enjoy refreshments during the stop.
Later in the afternoon, the route follows Galway Bay and surrounding coastal roads. The scenery changes as the tour returns towards Galway. Short comfort stops are included where required.
In the evening, you’ll rejoin the train in Galway for the return journey to Dublin. Arrival back in the city is the same night, making this a convenient day tour option.

Itinerary
Please check in at 07:15 for the 07:35 train departure from Dublin Heuston Station. Check-in is beside the Customer Service Desk, where a tour representative will be waiting.
The train journey travels west towards Galway, passing through countryside along the way. On arrival, the guided coach tour continues into the Connemara region, known for open countryside and coastal scenery.
A visit to Kylemore Abbey and Gardens is included, with free time to explore and have lunch independently. Scenic stops may be included during the return journey to Galway.
The return train departs Galway at 19:20. Arrival back at Dublin Heuston Station is scheduled for 21:45.
